Novaya Gazeta Europe reports Russian schools, universities, and kindergartens have spent billions of rubles on drones since start of full-scale war

Russian educational institutions have spent 16 billion rubles on drones since the start of the full-scale war against Ukraine. This spending has increased significantly from 350 million rubles per year before the war to 9.7 billion rubles in 2024. The largest supplier of drones is the St. Petersburg firm Geoskan, which has ties to Katerina Tikhonova, Putin's daughter.
